1 note
So the Mr and I went to an art exhibition yesterday… It was brilliant! Run by the UK Poster Association it was a collection of Rock Posters created by predominantly UK artists. Hosted in Brick Lane at the Rag Factory, its last run is tomorrow. You should go! I love rock posters, if I was to develop my graphic design head a bit more, classic and artist rock posters it where I’d like the go. It was also awesome purely for the the fact I didn’t think there was much of a Rock Poster scene here in the UK, so I’m super glad I discovered the UKPA.
The Mr and I bought a couple of prints, and this was one that totally caught my eye, designed and created by Guy Burwell!
Mini Chris Jericho! So, since my last post, I’ve had a good few responses to my key rings, and my first oder was a Mini Chris Jericho for my friend Mike! I think he turned out quite well, despite how fussy I found Jericho’s hair! I’ve got a few more orders in the works… some pretty fun designs too, but until they land in their owners hand… watch this space!
I’ve made a temporary shop until I get round to creating a website, but the shop still needs to be made pretty, so until then, if you have any questions, feel free to email maycontainsooz@gmail.com!
And yesterday, I realized my biggest mistake!! I typed “the after dark” instead of “after dark”….shame of me!!! This is my second assignment for paper graphics challenge, I’m working on my second cover for Murakami’s amazing books! Sorry sensie ;A; about my lameness mistake!
This is fabulous!! I love anything to do with paper design!!

Moar keyrings! I made this for my Mum for Mothers Day (UK) but only just got them finished up today. They’re not as good as the one I made for my other half (set the bar too high!! Dammit!). Sadly the gloss cracked the paint (don’t go cutting corners guys, buy the legit paint!). I think also my room was too warm in the drying process, but she was still pleased. Unleashed the madness on my friends, seeing if I’ll get any orders! Considering charging £7 (GBP) per keychain. Generic person, any additions will cost an extra £1, and this price doesn’t include postage (where applicable). Anyone know any good sites to host these? For customer payment etc. Thinking Big Cartel!
Also thinking of making May Contain Sooz ones! I’ll finally have something on the merch page after all these years!
Going to make a few characters for practise… Then i’m going to open pre-orders!
My friend Suzan drew this for me once - it’s me and Julian Casablancas.
Aaaah! It’s so weird scrolling through my dash and seeing my art! Glad you still like it Luna! :D
The story: A little while ago, heavily influenced by Oborocharms and how successful she was in creating cute little charms using Polymer Clay, I was inspired to set about creating my own polymer clay creations.
First, two things. 1) I’ve never in my life used polymer clay before and 2) I live in the UK, so upon reading tutorials from American residents and going to UK art shops to only find FIMO products littering the selves… I wasn’t expecting to get great results.
UNTIL this little fella was formed! Based on my lovely other half (whom I share a design blog with), I made a cute little “chibi” version of himself, based on my Adorabubble Icon’s down at LiveJournal. I couldn’t have been happier with the results! So much so, I’m considering setting up shop and making custom keychain orders. What do you think? I’ve never sold anything online before, I follow a lot of very talented and successful artists on Tumblr who make and sell things easily online, so any advice would be great!
Thanks for stopping by, and let me know what you think!
